L-Glutathione

Glutathione is extremely popular for its skin whitening benefits, lightening skin tone and improving skin condition. The skin whitening benefits of Glutathione are a result of its ability to significantly lower the melanin index. Melanin is the substance produced by the body in order to give our skin, hair, and eyes their colour. The more melanin produced, the darker the pigment. The effects of Glutathione for lightening the skin can vary widely. By using Le Dore peel you can help suppress wrinkles, improve skin smoothness, increase moisture content and the skin's elasticity. All with no adverse side effects.

Kojic Acid

Kojic acid is a compound that is commonly derived from various fungi. Kojic acid is a skin lightening agent because of its effects on a protein known as tyrosinase. Kojic acid works by preventing a specific function of tyrosinase called its catecholase function. The chemical compound in kojic acid peel penetrates deep within the cellular layer of skin which keeps dark pigmentation from forming. It does that by hindering the production of melanin. Melanin is the pigment that gives your skin its colour. Thus, by inhibiting the tyrosinase protein's ability to make melanin, kojic acid is able to prevent skin pigmentation, which can help lighten the skin's tone.

Glycolic Acid

Glycolic acid is part of the group of active compounds known as AHA’s (alpha hydroxy acids). Derived from cane sugar: It has the smallest molecules in the group so is able to penetrate the skin deeply and easily, making it the most effective for treating fine lines, acne, blackheads, dullness, oiliness etc. Chemical peels use a high percentage of this acid and can be very effective if done safely and properly. Glycolic acid works like tiny ‘pacemen’ eating away at the glue between cells It reacts with the top layer of skin, breaking it down by dissolving sebum and other substances that bind cells together. Dead skin cells are sloughed off by it revealing smoother, brighter, younger-looking skin.

Benefit: Providing an even exfoliation, brightening skin, restoring healthy pH to the skin, removing blackheads and fine lines, treating pigmentation, acne and other skin conditions.
